About us

We think life’s better outdoors, and in winter that means the mountains. Whether it’s carving down the slopes, finding the perfect line through fresh powder, or enjoying a day on the piste with friends, having well-serviced kit makes all the difference. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a Ski Technician to make sure every skier and snowboarder leaves with their gear in top condition. From beginners on rental equipment to seasoned riders with high-performance skis, you’ll help them feel confident, safe, and ready to enjoy their time on the mountain.

We’re part of the Cotswold Outdoor Group, which also includes Runners Need and Snow+Rock. Together, we offer trusted outdoor brands, expert advice, and a real commitment to protecting the planet.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll get stuck into the technical side of snow sports, making sure every pair of skis and every board leaves the workshop ready for the mountains. Day-to-day, you’ll:

  • Carry out full assessments on skis and snowboards, including belt and stone grinds with professional tuning machines
  • Deliver patch repairs, edge tuning, and waxing services to keep equipment in top condition
  • Install and adjust ski bindings to the highest safety standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
  • Share your knowledge with customers, explaining technical details in a clear and approachable way
  • Work as part of a team that values expertise, precision, and a genuine love of the sport

What we’re looking for

We’re after someone who knows their way around skis and snowboards and enjoys solving problems with a practical, hands-on approach. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Knowledge of both ski and snowboard equipment, including mounting, tuning, waxing, and base repairs
  • Experience servicing, adjusting, and repairing kit (workshop or ski resort background desirable)
  • Confidence in using ski tuning machines (Wintersteiger, Montana) or the enthusiasm to learn
  • An understanding of health & safety in a workshop setting
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details in customer-friendly language
  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and the outdoor mountain lifestyle
  • A self-motivated, solution-focused approach, comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
  • Bonus points if you have knowledge of boot fitting and custom footbeds

Why join us

We know that the best people make the best team. As part of our stores, you’ll be surrounded by others who share your enthusiasm for the outdoors and your respect for well-prepared kit. We’ll make sure you feel supported, valued, and ready to get the most out of the season.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Starting salary of £13.52 per hour per hour (£11.47 per hour per hour if you’re under 21)
  • 40–60% discount across our products
  • Up to 33 days holiday (pro-rata), with the option to buy more
  • Support for your wellbeing through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Extra savings on shopping, dining, fitness, and entertainment with our perks platform

This is a fixed-term role until April 2026, working 40 hours per week.
